The Association of Private Employment Agencies of Uzbekistan held an important meeting with the Country Coordinator of the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) in Uzbekistan to discuss opportunities for cooperation and joint initiatives aimed at strengthening the national migration sector.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on key challenges and opportunities in the field of labor migration and explored potential areas of collaboration to enhance the efficiency, transparency, and sustainability of private recruitment practices in Uzbekistan.
The discussion focused on:
- Strengthening cooperation between XBA and ICMPD in migration policy development;
- Supporting the professional growth and capacity of private employment agencies in Uzbekistan;
- Promoting ethical and rights-based recruitment standards;
- Addressing shared challenges and finding practical solutions for the sector.
ICMPD — the International Centre for Migration Policy Development — is an inter-governmental organization founded in 1993 by Switzerland and Austria. The organization promotes and supports effective, comprehensive, and rights-based migration policies. ICMPD provides expertise, advisory services, and project implementation support to governments in more than 90 countries worldwide.
This meeting marks the beginning of a meaningful partnership between XBA and ICMPD, reflecting their shared commitment to improving migration governance and creating a transparent, fair, and responsible environment for labor mobility from Uzbekistan.
